COMMUNITY ORAL HEALTH OFFICER III
Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Conduct oral health education and awareness campaigns in communities,
schools, and health facilities.
(ii) Examine, diagnose, and treat common dental conditions within the scope of
community oral health practice.
(iii)Perform dental extractions, scaling, polishing, and simple fillings.
(iv) Assist in the development and implementation of community oral health
programs and preventive strategies.
(v) Provide oral health screening and referrals for advanced dental or surgical care.
(vi) Maintain accurate patient and program records.
(vii) Participate in oral health surveys and data collection for planning and
monitoring purposes.
(viii) Ensure infection prevention and control measures in the dental clinic.
(ix)Advise patients and communities on proper oral hygiene, diet, and lifestyle
practices.
(x) Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements for Appointment:
(i) Diploma in Community Oral Health or its equivalent qualification from a
recognized institution.
(ii) Registration and valid practicing license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners
and Dentists Council (KMPDC) or other relevant regulatory body.
(iii)Proficiency in computer applications.
(iv) Experience in a busy dental or community health setup will be an added
advantage
