ORTHOPAEDIC TECHNOLOGIST III
Duties and Responsibilities:
(i) Assessing patient’s needs.
(ii) Preparing and fitting orthopedic appliances.
(iii)Verifying and maintaining information relating to patients.
(iv) Designing the orthopedic appliances.
(v) Fabricating and assembling prosthetic/orthotic devices and other orthopedic
appliances.
(vi) Ensuring availability of supplies and equipment.
(vii) Ensuring maintenance, repair and replacement of the appliance.
(viii) Supervising, training, guiding and mentoring staff and students..

Requirements for Appointment:
(i) Diploma in Orthopedic Technology or its equivalent qualification from a
recognized institution.
(ii) Registered with National Association Orthopedic Technologists of
Kenya.(NAOTs)
(iii)Proficiency in computer applications.
(iv) At least one (1) year of relevant experience in a recognized health facility
will be an added advantage.
