BIO-MEDICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIST III
Duties and Responsibilities:
(i) Assist in installation, testing, calibration, and maintenance of medical
and laboratory equipment.
(ii) Conduct routine preventive and corrective maintenance of medical
devices.
(iii)Maintain accurate equipment service and inventory records.
(iv)Support the preparation of reports on the status and performance of
equipment.
(v) Assist in training users on the proper operation and care of biomedical
equipment.
(vi)Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in equipment
handling.
(vii) Participate in the evaluation and testing of new medical
equipment.
(viii) Report major faults and recommend repairs or replacements as
necessary.

Requirements for Appointment
(i) Diploma in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent qualification from a
recognized institution.
(ii) Registration or eligibility for registration with a relevant professional
body.
(iii) A certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution
is usually required.
(iv) A strong foundation in engineering principles applied to biological and
medical systems is essential.
(v) Proficiency in computer applications.
(vi)Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
