CLINICAL OFFICER (NEPHROLOGY)
Duties and Responsibilities:
(i) Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with renal conditions.
(ii) Conduct pre-, intra-, and post-dialysis assessments and care.
(iii)Operate and maintain dialysis machines and related equipment.
(iv)Monitor patients’ condition and report complications during dialysis.
(v) Educate patients and families on renal health, diet, and treatment
adherence.
(vi)Maintain infection prevention and control standards within the dialysis
unit.
(vii) Maintain accurate records of dialysis sessions and patient
outcomes.
(viii) Collaborate with nephrologists, dieticians, and nurses in
comprehensive patient care.
Requirements for Appointment:
(i) Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or Clinical Medicine,
Community Health from a recognized institution.
(ii) Higher Diploma in Nephrology from a recognized institution.
(iii)Registration and valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers
Council.
(iv)Proficiency in computer applications.
(v) Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
