About
Tranquil Steps and Counselling Centre (TSCC) is a Christ-centred, faith-based treatment facility for those suffering from alcohol and substance addiction as well as those with mental health challenges. TSCC’s approach to wellness adopts a two-prong design that addresses our clients’ mental health whilst anchoring them in their faith and relationship with God. We integrate clinical therapies, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), the 12 Steps program, and biblical counselling in our interventions. Our interventions aim to empower our clients with life skills to help them cope easily with life’s challenges after rehabilitation.
Our wellness program is tailor-made to meet the specific needs of our clients. We assign each client a primary counsellor to ensure interventions are personalized to them. We are also keen on having our client’s families walk the wellness journey with them. We do this by providing family therapy sessions and psychoeducation with the understanding that addiction affects both the addict and his or her family.
Our staff are dedicated to the TSCC mission of “Uniting communities against addiction,” and our vision of “A community free from addiction.” We work with psychiatrists, psychologists and certified addiction counsellors, with two of our directors being part of the working team of professionals. Our chaplain is a trained pastor with extensive experience working with troubled youths.
TSCC’s work is grounded in a Christian worldview. We believe that all are created in the image and likeness of God and that God loves us all in equal measure as demonstrated by the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ. We share the love of Christ with all our clients and accept clients from all walks of life. We are an inclusive centre intent on fighting the stigma associated with mental health. It is on this basis that we have also set up the Adopt an Addict (AAA) initiative. Addiction tends to be a family disease – the addiction of a loved one impacts on everyone in the family unit in various ways. The AAA initiative aims to support needy families that cannot afford rehabilitation services for their loved ones. This initiative is made possible with the help of friends and well-wishers.

(a)Family Therapy
-We offer psychotherapy and psycho-education to help families support their loved ones during recovery from addiction.
(b)Outreach
-Outreach programs for schools and churches; We collaborate with schools and churches embedded within communities in their addiction and substance abuse mitigation efforts.
(c)Rehabilitation
-Inpatient rehabilitation treatment. This service includes assessment, screening, detoxification, medical check-up, psychoeducation and psychotherapy
