Methodist Treatment Center is located in Kaaga Sub Location of Kaaga Location, in Meru County; one Kilometer off Meru – Maua road, adjacent to MCK Kaaga Church. The goal of the center is to provide professional treatment to persons with substance use disorder and address the knowledge gap on substance use in Eastern region and beyond. The treatment center is managed by a Board of Management that reports to MCK Kaaga Synod. The center has three core programs namely; 1) Inpatient treatment services, 2) Outpatient treatment services and 3) Outreach and early intervention program. The center has a manager responsible for the day to day running of the institution and also couples as the secretary to the board. Methodist Treatment Center opened its doors for operation in the month of July 2018. This strategic plan is meant to aid the center in achieving its vision of becoming a model treatment centre in Eastern region and beyond.
