QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 26,900.00 - 35,380.00 (CPSB 11)
House Allowance: Ksh. 4,500 p.m
Commuter Allowance: Ksh. 4,000 p.m.
Other Allowances as Per the SRC Circulars
Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable

Requirements for appointment:-
Diploma in Library Studies or Information Science or their recognized equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean Grade C or its equivalent qualification with at least a C in either Mathematics, English or Kiswahili; and
Proficiency in computer applications.

Duties and Responsibilities: -
Prepare materials for binding;
Shelf arrangement;
Provision of reference services to readers.
Assist in the organization, classification, and cataloguing of library materials.
Charge and discharge Library materials.
Facilitate the acquisition and processing of new library resources
Issue and receive library materials to and from users
Assist library users in locating and accessing information resources
Maintain accurate records of library transactions and inventory
Support digital library and e-resource access initiatives
Provide basic IT support for library users and staff
