Job Summary:
The County Public Service Board Wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons on permanent and pensionable terms to fill the following positions for the department of Public Service and Administration, Water Services and Health Services
Duties And Responsibilities:
• Duties and Responsibilities
Work at this level will be similar to that of a Human Resource Management Officer II, but of a wider complexity. However, the officer will work under minimal supervision and may be deployed to oversee the Human Resource Management function in a Department or in a unit within the Human Resource Management Division of the County/Department. Specific duties and responsibilities will entail:- Verification of information relating to recruitment, appointment, transfers; Human Resource Management records and complement control; Processing cases for the County/Departmental Human Resource Management Advisory Committee; Assisting in the implementation of the decisions thereof and supervising and guiding clerical staff in the Division/Section; Assisting Departments in the assessment of training needs for all cadres of staff; preparation of training projections; Identifying and designing appropriate courses, seminars, workshops and other relevant staff development programmes; and Assist in co-coordinating training programmes and evaluating training programmes.
Qualifications:
• Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -
• Served as a Human Resource Management Officer II for a minimum period of three (3) years; and
• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or any other relevant degree from a recognized institution;
• Postgraduate diploma in Human Resource/Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, Public/Business Administration from a recognized institution;
• A pass in Part I, or II of the Certified Human Resource Professional (Kenya) Examination (CHRP ) of the Certified Public Secretaries (Kenya) examination(CS-Part II) or its equivalent; (An added advantage).
• Membership to the Institute of Human Resource Management and in good standing;
• Certificate in Computer Applications skills; and,
• Any other qualifications relevant to the Human Resource Management function, as may be approved by the County Public Service Board.
