The Magadi Soda School was launched in 1980 as a pre-school and later extended to a junior school for then Magadi Soda employees. Today, the school is a fully fledged primary school that has grown across all aspects having successfully facilitated the examination of class eight candidates for six consecutive years since 2008. In the year 2011 the school produced the second best candidate in Kajiado County, in 2012 it emerged the best in Kiswahili in the county and in the year 2013, 71% of the class eight candidates joined national schools.
Thus far, the school has developed more than adequate facilities and has launched a mixed boarding facility. Magadi School is located in a secure and safe environment to ensure that students not only learn at peace but also enjoy learning. Effective September 2014, the school is open for applications and reporting of boarding students between classes four and eight. The school is professionally managed under the caring watch of Tata Chemicals Magadi Limited (formerly Magadi Soda Company.
