Tenri Primary School is located in Embu Municipality off Embu -Kiritiri Road next to the National cereals and Produce Board Depot. The School is a Kenya Tenri Mission sponsored school which started back in 1999 as a kindergarten. Since then, the school has grown from this humble beginning to become the top school and the pride of Embu County. The pioneer class sat for KCPE in 2007 and laid a very prudent academic base which has been polished up to date. The schools day to day activities are well managed by the head teacher who works under the guidance of the sponsor’s Board of Directors. The parents’ interests and concerns are represented fully by the Tenri Academy Advisory Committee (TAAC) which is made up of 9 parents’ representatives drawn from all the classes right from pre-primary to STD 8. During the last year 2015 KCPE results, the school registered the highest mean score since the school started of 392.74. This was the highest mean score in Embu County.
